Intro to Final Draft  

In this class you will be introduced Final Draft, the industry standard screenwriting software for screenwriters, directors, and producers. You will be given a general introduction to the software and then will delve into the often-overlooked features that writers, producers, directors and all departments use during the production of a film. Final Draft software is not needed to attend. You can download a 30 day free trial here, for use during the workshop or after.

Heather Hughes and Kate Wharton are screenwriters and producers living in Seattle, WA. Between them they are recipients of the Templeton Foundation Kairos Prize for Screenwriting, recipient of a Hedgebrook Residency and were a Sundance Institute finalist. Their work has made the finals of the Austin Film Festival screenwriting competition (top 3 our of 12,000 entries), PAGE, Slamdance and they are represented by the Nethercott Agency and literary agent Gayla Nethercott.
